so soapy soaps 100% natural, unique soap, handmade in the Tamar Valley, Cornwall so soapy soaps

Welcome
to So Soapy, a small independent company run by Sara Rock and Dave Hansford with the assistance of Pamela Atkin, a fully qualified aromatherapist.

Inspiration
We are naturally inspired by the herbs and flowers in our garden and the beautiful Tamar Valley and produce unique, top quality, handmade soap slowly and carefully using traditional environmentally friendly methods.

Ingredients
We only use natural ingredients, a base rich in olive oil and pure essential oils, carefully selected and blended to make a luxurious yet kind soap, marvellous to use, great to look at and lovely to smell. Because our soap is so pure it is suitable for even the most delicate skin.

Every bar in the range has its own personality and characteristics. Some people always go back to their favourites, others experiment with different bars for different occasions, but everyone will be able to find a So Soapy soap to suit their taste. You will soon notice the difference between our soap and ordinary mass produced soap.

Animal Testing
All our soaps are vegan, we do not use any animal based ingredients in any of our products and we test everything on ourselves and our friends not on our pets.

Quality Standards
Our soaps meet all EU regulations and are fully certified. We are also members of the Made in Cornwall Scheme run by Cornwall County Council Trading Standards department.

Sustainability

The nature of our ingredients means that some of them inevitably come from other continents. However, we use local products wherever possible and always use the most local suppliers we can find so at least they don’t have to travel too far to get to us, and we help to support local businesses. We also ensure that the ingredients we use are from sustainable sources to limit our impact on the environment.

We are members of CoaST (the Cornwall Sustainable Tourism Project) and supply the local tourist industry with handmade toiletries. We are actively involved in CoaST’s campaign to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits to Cornwall whilst providing visitors with a slice of Cornish paradise in their bathrooms!
