About us and our soap
Proper handmade soap is becoming increasingly popular as more and more people are turning away from mass produced products which rely so heavily on artificial additives, and popular taste turns once more to natural products made slowly and individually by hand.
All So Soapy soaps are made with the finest natural ingredients we can find. We use the simple cold process method, which ensures that our soaps retain the balance of natural oils and glycerine so important for the maintenance of healthy skin.
Modern industrial production techniques strip the glycerine from the soap and involve a chemical cocktail of artificial dyes, fragrances and preservatives, which can irritate and dry the skin.
In contrast we use a range of expensive oils, chiefly olive oil, and unique blends of pure essential oils and plant additives many of which have been used in skincare for centuries.
Each bar has its own character derived from careful use of flowers, seeds and minerals, and oils such as avocado, calendula, hemp and jojoba which give excellent moisturising properties and a lovely rich feel to our soap. Wherever possible we use the produce of our own garden.
We make all our products in small batches and package everything as simply as we can to limit waste and harm to the environment.
Each bar is a unique experience. They will vary slightly in colour, appearance and size but all weigh at least 90g, often much more.
